She was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Indianapolis, to Larry H. and Violet Little Gommadinger. On June 12, 1982, in Clunette, she married Richard M. Vanator, who died June 15, 1997.
She was a graduate of Leesburg High School. She worked in the mailroom for The Paper, Milford, retiring in 2009.
She was a former member of Leesburg United Methodist Church and New Horizon Church, Winona Lake.
A simple, caring woman who would sacrifice of herself to help others, she loved nature and being with her family.
Survivors include a son, Kane Kingrey, Largo, Fla.; a daughter, Tacey (and spouse Roger) Tracy, Crestview, Fla.; six grandchildren: Cary (and spouse Amanda) Kingrey, Dustin (and spouse Brittany) Heldenbrand, Derek (and spouse Candy) Tracy, Devin (and spouse Christine) Heldenbrand, Misty Tracy and Ayrielle (and spouse Shane) Shepherd; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents.
Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Sunday in Leesburg Cemetery, with Pastor Dave Hummel officiating.
