NORTH MANCHESTER – Ruth Almeda Wall, 97, North Manchester, died at 9:40 a.m. Sept. 13, 2016, at Peabody Retirement Community.
She was born Aug. 13, 1919, in Wabash County, to Warren and Lora Winona Belle Lawson Ogan. On Sept. 2, 1939, in Wabash, she married Ralph Ernest Wall, who died May 17, 1990.
She was a 1937 graduate of Linlawn High School. She was a homemaker.  She was a former member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, Wabash, and a current member of Warsaw First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Range Line Home Ec. Club, Wabash County, and was a former Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed reading and sewing.  
She lived in the Wabash area until 1963, in Warsaw from 1963 until 1994, then moved to Peabody in North Manchester.
She is survived by four sons: Brian (and spouse Doris) Wall, Goshen; David (and spouse Dee) Wall, Denver; Dennis Wall, Leesburg; and Stanley (and spouse Jo Elaine) Wall, Warsaw; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Ogan, Wabash; two sisters, Freda Louise Friermood and Vivian Proffitt, both of Wabash; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Ogan, Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Diane Marlene Wall; three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with the Rev. Sue Babovec officiating. Burial will be in Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
