He was born Feb. 20, 1990, in Goshen, to Scott and Sally Hoover Hayes.
He was a press operator for PAC Bannerworks, Mishawaka. He was always in a good mood and loved to laugh and joke. He never knew a stranger.
He enjoyed music of all kinds and was an accomplished guitar player. He liked many sports and enjoyed playing Frisbee golf. He loved animals and spent his time fishing on Hill ?Lake.
Survivors include his fiancee, Katie Gibson, Warsaw; his father, Scott (and spouse Debi) Hayes, Syracuse; his mother, Sally (and spouse Rich) Arter, Jones, Mich.; a stepsister, Katrina (and spouse James) Neal, Jones; two stepbrothers, Neil Lindgren, Boise, Idaho, and Nick (and spouse Kayla) Lindgren, Arcadia, Calif.; his maternal grandmother, Paula Decker, Mishawaka; three sons: Elijah, Aaron and Graysen; three nephews: Justin, Aaron and Dillon Neal; a niece, Kaelyn Neal; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded by a brother, Aaron Hayes, in August 1991; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandfather.
Private family services are planned. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
