By Staff Report-

FORT WAYNE – Warsaw’s girls soccer team wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard at Fort Wayne Northrop, scoring twice in the first four minutes and cruising to a 5-0 win Monday night.
Northrop had given up just one goal all season before Monday, but Breck Jackson scored off a free kick in the second minute, and Dayle Harvey found the back of the net two minutes later off an assist by Abby Steffensmeier.
Delaney Taylor scored the third Lady Tiger goal on a pass from Julie Frazzetta in the 12th minute. In the 25th minute the duo reversed roles, with Frazzetta getting the goal and Taylor the assist.
Frazzetta picked up a second assist early in the second half, finding Steffensmeier for a goal in the 45th minute.
Northrop got only four shots on goal, with Chloe Snow and Kaylee Patton recording two saves each.
“Each of our three captains (Frazzetta, Jackson, and Harvey) were picked for various reasons this season, but it is rather special that all three got on the board tonight with goals, especially considering that two of them are defenders,” Warsaw head coach Peter Lucht said.
“I also think that it was special in that we were able to finish opportunities early against a team that had been stingy up until that point in the season.”
The Lady Tigers improved to 9-3 on the season, and will host Columbia City on Thursday.
