FORT?WAYNE – Rita Lynn Ebert- Alvey, 54, Fort Wayne, died at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7, 2016.
She was born Aug. 14, 1962, in Warsaw, to John W. and Mary E. Redinger Ebert. On Dec. 28, 2008, she married Steven Alvey, who survives.
Although she developed health issues when she was 10 years old, she was a very active teen, participating in Atwood 4-H, Warsaw Community High School Choir, WCHS Flags and providing music for her church. She was a 10-year camper at Camp Mack, Milford.  
She graduated in 1981 from WCHS. She attended Lutheran School of Nursing, worked in the medical industry, was a preschool teacher and held several positions in the financial field.
She was very faithful to her God.
She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, but most of all she loved her family.  
She also is survived by a daughter, Brandy (and spouse Brad) Schnelker; a stepson, Cory (and spouse Kara) Alvey;  a son-in-law, David Jackson; a sister, Carolyn Brantley; a niece, Maura Furry; her mother, Mary Ebert; her stepmother, Arloa Alvey; and six grandchildren: Drake, Nicole, Isabel and Johnathon Schnelker and Relayna and Jace Alvey. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Ebert, and a stepdaughter Amanda Jackson.
A celebration of life service will be at noon Saturday at the Journey Church, Fort Wayne.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
