Crossroads League Represented In Women’s Soccer Poll

No. 1 Spring Arbor (15-0-1, 8-0-1 CL) hauled in 14-of-19 first-place votes for 525 points in the sixth regular season poll. SAU outscored Bethel and Marian by a 15-1 margin in its final two regular season outings to clinch its sixth-straight league title and home field advantage throughout the Crossroads League Tournament. The Cougars will open postseason play against Goshen on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
No. 17 Taylor (14-1-1, 7-1-1 CL) earned 255 points and slipped one spot and three points in the latest ratings. TU set program records for wins and shutouts in a single-season during its last two contests and locked down the second seed in the upcoming league tournament. The Trojans will host Saint Francis on Saturday at 5:00 pm in the quarterfinals.
The NAIA Top-25 Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches from around the nation. The next regular season women’s soccer poll will be announced Nov. 1.
Spring Arbor No. 23 In Men’s Soccer Poll
KANSAS CITY – Spring Arbor and Mount Vernon Nazarene continued to represent the Crossroads League in the latest NAIA Men’s Soccer Top-25 Poll, with SAU taking a No. 23 rating and MVNU earning votes just outside the top-30.
No. 23 Spring Arbor (11-3-4, 5-1-3 CL) bumped up one spot in the new poll with 131 points. The Cougars defeated Marian in the regular-season finale in Indianapolis to secure the second-seed in the Crossroads League Tournament and will host the Knights in a rematch on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
Mount Vernon Nazarene (12-3-3, 5-2-2 CL) continued to receive votes, pulling in 46 points for the 31st-highest tally in the poll. The Cougars took down Bethel in their final regular season outing to earn the third seed and a home game against Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals.
