Kenneth Stenstrom and the former Romayne Amos were married Oct. 27, 1956, in Bayshore Baptist Church, San Francisco.
They are devout Christians and have always been willing to serve. They moved their family from California to North Dakota in 1967 to help with the church and be closer to family. They moved from North Dakota to Warsaw in 1979 to work at Riverwood Ranch boys home. They served in Taiwan from 1984 to 1988. They were houseparents in 1996 at Oakwood Christian Academy in Tennessee.
They attend Winona Lake Free Methodist Church.
They have four children:?Karen Engstrom, Raymond and William Stenstrom, and Ruth (and spouse Larry) Wilson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
An anniversary party is planned from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Winona Lake Free Methodist Church. The couple will renew their vows at 6 p.m.
All who know the Stenstroms are welcome.
