Stabbing At Victory Hotel Leaves 1 In Hospital, 1 in Jail

A Warsaw man was arrested after police say he slashed his neighbor with a box cutter at the Victory Hotel, according to a news release from the Warsaw Police Department.
Randel Manley, 51, of 223 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Friday morning on an initial felony charge of aggravated battery involving a deadly weapon. The Kosciusko?County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is expected to file formal charges later today.
Police responded to a dispatch of a fight and man bleeding profusely at the Victory Hotel on?Jefferson Street just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
The police found Mitchell?Robinson, 30,?Warsaw, unresponsive with cuts to the stomach and the neck. Robinson?was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital and then flown to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, the release states.
Robinson was listed in critical condition as of this morning.
A witness told police she came in to a room at the hotel and saw the neighbor down the hall on top of Robinson, the release states.
Police located the neighbor, identified as  Manley, who was in his room with blood on his clothes, and a bloody box cutter knife in his doorway. Police believe both men were intoxicated and had  been arguing about Robinson, wanting his cigarettes and knife back throughout the night, the release states.
The investigation is ongoing, but the news release states Manley slashed Robinson with the box cutter found near Manley’s room.
Manley is being held without bond.
