Atty. Gen. To Speak On Opioid Abuse Wednesday

SYRACUSE – Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller will headline a day-long conference on heroin and prescription painkillers Wednesday in Syracuse.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at Oakwood Resort Event Center, according to information provided by the organizers, who hope the event serves as an action plan for the community.
Other featured speakers will include Tony Ciriello, Kosciusko County coroner; Megan Fisher, The Bowen Center; Deborah McMahan, Allen County Health Department; Jef Mullins, Waters Edge Recovery; RJ Nethaway, Warsaw Police Department; and Beth Seabolt, Rome Home North. Rodger Dinwiddle, of Hazelden Publishing, will moderate much of the discussion.
Participants will provide an assessment of the epidemic involving heroin and opioid addiction. Among the activities will be a panel discussion and a community action plan for addressing the issue.
The events is sponsored by the Bowen Center, Parkview Foundation and Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
