BREMEN – Mary Jo Shumaker, 67, Bremen, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 19, 2016, in Community Hospital of Bremen.
She was born Aug. 10, 1949, the daughter of George and Esther Sauter Hill.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8972, where she served as past president. She will be remembered for her love of camping, boating and wintering in Florida.
She is survived by her partner of 28 years, Pud Main; and her three children, Deborah Hill, Brian (and spouse Tracy) Shumaker and Amy Shumaker; her mother, Esther Hill; five grandchildren, Chase (Haily) Hill, Austin Sizemore, Christopher Riley, Zack Shumaker and Bryson Shumaker; one great-grandson, Liam Hill; brothers, Michael and James Hill; four stepchildren, Curtis (Deb) Main, Scott (Shirley) Main, Braden (Cindy) Main and Brenna (Steve) Zbieranski; and seven step-grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Andrew, Brittney, Chelci, Gavin and Kody.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Jim Morse officiating. There will be no graveside service.
Calling is from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
