Lady Squires Beat Oak Hill
ROCHESTER – Manchester’s volleyball team missed a sweep, but still took a 25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18 win over Oak Hill in the opening round of the 2A Rochester Sectional Thursday night.
Cierra Carter had 16 kills, 10 digs and two aces in the match for the Lady Squires. Kendra Auler had 24 assists, and Sydney Day had 18 digs and five kills in the match.
In Saturday’s semifinals Manchester will take on host Rochester, a 25-19, 25-17, 25-18 winner over Northfield in the quarterfinals. The winner of that match will take on either Cass or Southwood for the sectional title Saturday evening.

Triton Sweeps N. Miami
HAMLET – Nichole Sechrist had 18 kills and four blocks, and Courtney Jennings had 12 kills in Triton’s 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 volleyball win over North Miami in the 1A Oregon-Davis Sectional Thursday night.
Hannah Wanemacher had 37 assists in the match for the Lady Trojans. Quinn Downing had eight digs, and Charlotte Morris led Triton with six blocks.
Triton will play South Central in the second semifinal on Saturday. The winner will play either Culver Community or host Oregon-Davis for the sectional championship Saturday night.

Lady Cougars Swept
HAMILTON – Lakeland Christian fell 25-5, 25-9, 25-2 to host Hamilton in a 1A volleyball sectional match Tuesday.
