Chili Supper Saturday At Pierceton United Methodist
PIERCETON – Pierceton United Methodist Church will host a chili supper with sandwich, homemade ice cream and cake from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
All are invited. Donations will be accepted for the mission of the church.  
Pierceton United Methodist Church is handicapped-accessible. Parking is in the back.  

Holiday Craft Bazaar And Bake Sale Nov. 5 At Waterford CC
GOSHEN – Community Church of Waterford will have a holiday craft bazaar and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5.
The bazaar will feature vendors with a selection of unique crafts, handmade gifts and one-of-a-kind items. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Christian Life Apostolic Church has moved to 127 S. Lincoln St., Warsaw.

All-You-Can-Eat Fish Dinner Is Saturday At Highway To Heaven
God’s Highway to Heaven Church in Warsaw is planning an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The menu includes fish, a choice of two sides – onion rings, french fries, baked beans and cole slaw – bread, dessert and a drink.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 9.

Kids Fall Fest Saturday at Trinity United Methodist
Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw is having its annual Kids Fall Fest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event will include games, food, balloons and plenty of fun. All kids are invited.
The church is at 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Country Breakfast Saturday Will Support Christmas Baskets
CLAYPOOL – A country breakfast is planned from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool.
The meal will include biscuits and gravy, fried apples, fried potatoes and bacon. A freewill offering will be taken.
Proceeds will go toward Christmas baskets  for needy families in the community.
The church is at 6800 S. Ind. 15, Claypool.

Married Couples Retreat
Nov. 5-6 At Lindenwood
DONALDSON – A retreat for married couples, An Encounter with the Beloved, will take place Nov. 5-6 at Lindenwood Retreat and Conference Center in Donaldson.
Fred and Lisa Everett, co-directors of the Office of Family Life for the dioceses of Fort Wayne-South Bend, are the facilitators for the event.
The Everetts, who have been married 30 years, have produced various programs and videos, as well as authored articles and booklets on marriage and family life. They’ve both served as advisers on marriage to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Both are graduates of the University of Notre Dame.  Fred is a candidate for ordination to the diaconate in 2018.
Retreat cost is $195 per couple and includes lodging and meals. Couples should register by Oct. 28 and bring a Bible, Rosary and a journal. Couples of all faiths are welcome to attend.
Check-in for the retreat will begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 5, and the retreat will conclude with Mass at 2 p.m. Nov. 6.

Chaplain For U.S. House To Speak At Zion Lutheran Church
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Zion Speakers Series continues at Zion Lutheran Church with Father Patrick Conroy, S.J., chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives.  
At 7 p.m. Oct. 29, Conroy will share the journey that brought him to his current responsibilities with government leaders. His presentation is titled “Vocation of Chaplain in a Political World.”  He will describe his role and the challenges he faces – especially as a spiritual leader and influence among, literally and figuratively, a house divided.  
At 9 a.m. Oct. 30, Conroy will deliver the sermon “Bonds of Faith Bringing Mercy to the World.”  This message is especially timely because Oct. 30 is the start of a year-long celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.  
The Zion Speakers Series was created to invite people to consider their faith journeys. Past speakers have included motivational speaker Bob Wieland, noted author and storyteller Phillip Gulley, and Lutheran author and theologian Walter Wangerin Jr.  
The church is at 113 W. Main St., North Manchester.

WINONA LAKE – Winona Lake Free Methodist Church will have its second Fall Family Festival from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.  
All games and activities will be inside the church. Kids of all ages are invited to come and have some fun and get their fill of candy before Halloween. Hot dogs will be served.
