He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Chicago, to Charles and Lillian Cunat Sekafetz.
He was retired. He served with the Strategic Air Force Command from 1955 to 1959. He was a great joke teller and a credit to his country.
He was a dear brother to Naomi Joswiak, Claypool; Carole Smith, Warsaw; and Lillian Smaluk, Leesburg; uncle to Cheryl Jones Norris, Warsaw; and father to Charles, Vern and Brian, all from the West Coast.
He was preceded by daughters Candy and Kimberly.
Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Marion National Cemetery with Air Force funeral honors.
