Fred and Patricia Detwiler, Warsaw, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Fred Detwiler and the former Patricia Lemmon were married Oct. 23, 1951, at Grace United Methodist, Elkhart, by the Rev. Robert Gorrel.
Fred was a Korean War veteran. In 1964 the couple went into business as Custom Carpet; they remain active in the business.
They have two sons, Kenny (and spouse Cindy), Bloomington, and Larry (and spouse Lynn), Hartsville; a daughter, Sharon (and spouse Ross) Sanders, Greentown; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
An open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
The couple request no gifts.
