Lady Trojans Fall At Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – Nichole Sechrist had nine kills, and Courtney Jennings had seven kills in Triton’s 25-13, 25-20, 25-16 loss at Plymouth to close out the Lady Trojans’ regular season volleyball schedule Thursday evening.
Hannah Wanemacher had 12 assists, and Quinn Downing added 12 digs for Triton.
The junior varsity match was won by Plymouth 25-7, 25-18 over Triton.
The Lady Trojans finished 19-11 in the regular season. They open play in the 1A Oregon-Davis Sectional Thursday against North Miami.

ELKHART – Jessica Slone had four kills, and Cami Dahms had three kills, four digs and an assist for Lakeland Christian in its 25-7, 25-15, 25-13 loss at Elkhart Christian in a volleyball match Thursday night.
Sydney Hobbs had five assists and a dig, Baylee Wiley had three digs and a pair of aces and Carlie Wise had three digs for the Lady Cougars.
Elkhart Christian won the junior varsity match 25-11, 25-16.
The Lady Cougars close out their regular season with matches against Traders Point and Oak Hill on Saturday.

Northridge Volleyball Sweeps Wawasee
MIDDLEBURY – Wawasee closed its volleyball regular season with a 25-13, 25-19, 25-17 loss at Northridge in Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday.
Northridge won the junior varsity match 25-24, 22-25, 15-11 over Wawasee.
The Lady Warriors (6-20) have a bye in the first round of the 3A Fairfield Sectional. They will play NorthWood in the second semifinal about 1 p.m. Oct. 22.

Warsaw – Wyatt Amiss 8-16 passing, 185 yds., TD, defensive interception; Jack Williamson, 5 receptions, 60 Yds., TD, 5 tackles for loss, fumble return 75 yds. and a TD; Blake Marsh, 2 rec., 75 yds., Johnny Feldman 22 carries, 75 yds., TD; Harrison Mevis, 20-yard FG.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains.
