Notice to employees of RBK, a/k/a Superior Wood Products, Jasper Plastics Solutions, and Leading Edge Fabrication of possible data disclosure. On July 28, 2016, Gibson Insurance Agency (“Gibson”) discovered that an employee’s laptop computer had been stolen that may have resulted in the disclosure of personal information, including names and Social Security numbers of some employees and their family members. Gibson provided employee benefits management of RBK’s group health insurance plan. Although at this time there is no evidence of any attempted or actual misuse of anyone’s information as a result of this incident, we have taken steps to notify employees and their family members and provide resources to assist them. We immediately conducted an investigation and determined the files on the laptop may have contained employee and family member names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and health insurance information. The laptop did not contain medical health records, which we do not have access to. Law enforcement has been notified and we are cooperating with their investigation. We take the privacy and security of personal information very seriously, and we have already taken steps to prevent a similar event from occurring in the future. This includes increased electronic safeguards and a review of current physical policies and procedures for the secure storage of personal information. We are in the process of training our employees regarding these existing and additional safeguards. We mailed a letter to individuals potentially impacted by this event which includes steps individuals can take to monitor and protect their personal information. We have also established a toll-free call center to answer questions about the incident and related concerns. The call center is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time, and can be reached at 866-599-7386. In an abundance of caution, we are offering at no cost to impacted individuals access to credit monitoring and identity theft resolution services through Kroll, a global leader in risk mitigation and response, whose team has extensive experience helping people who have sustained an unintentional exposure of confidential data. The privacy and protection of individuals’ information is a top priority for Gibson, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or concern this incident may cause.
