Sears Hometown Store in Warsaw is refreshing its retail strategy and will celebrate its grand reopening with a two-day event beginning Friday.
The  store “refresh” includes a new product assortment, redesigned merchandising, new fixtures and signage as well as new employee training.
The store is in the Marketplace Shopping Center near U.S. 30 in Warsaw.
“Our community will find that the often overwhelming experience of shopping for new appliances is now more approachable and has been greatly improved through our new retail strategy,” said Ken Ashpole, owner of the Sears Hometown store in Warsaw.
With the new store design, appliances will occupy more than half of the sales floor and include more brands with improved presentation, the company said in a prepared news release.
The new floor plan allows for the store to showcase complete kitchen packages with the addition of three kitchen vignettes, making it easier for customers to compare products.
Another feature is the laundry innovation area, featuring multiple bands and innovations.
Customers at the Warsaw store will be able to use a new touch-screen kiosk where they can work with a sales person or browse on their own to explore product options.
The Warsaw store is part of a system-wide refresh of all hometown stores. To learn more about the stores, go to www.searshometownstores.com.
