NORTH MANCHESTER – Ralph Raymond Naragon, 80, North Manchester, died at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 7, 2016, at Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital. 
He was born Sept. 10, 1936, in North Liberty, to R. Raymond and Dorothy Maxine Keiser Naragon. On May 13, 2000, at the Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, he married Becky S. Myers, who survives.
He was a 1954 graduate of North Liberty High School, and in 1958 he received his degree in accounting and business from Manchester College. He was a retired certified public accountant and owned Gilbert & Naragon Co., North Manchester, since 1968. He worked as business manager at Manchester College from 1961 to 1968. 
He attended the First Brethren Church in North Manchester, where he served on the stewardship committee. He was a member and treasurer of the board of directors of the North Manchester Historical Society and Shepherd Center, a life member of the Honeywell Foundation board of directors, the Living Well in Wabash County board of directors, the Wabash Parkview Hospital Foundation, and a former member and treasurer of the Community Foundation of Wabash County. He also served on the Manchester University board of trustees from 1997 to 2007 and was the trustee for the Paul L. Speicher Foundation. 
He volunteered at the Economic Development of Wabash County, North Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Manchester Main Street, the local school board and the town parks and recreation.
He also is survived by two sons, Dan (and spouse Willoughby) Naragon and Steve (and spouse Dr. Pam Higgins) Naragon, both of North Manchester; three stepchildren: Barry Schannep, North Manchester; Robin Spangler, Indianapolis, and Jack (and spouse Tracie) Schannep, New Albany; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Jeanette (and spouse Carl) Fullmer, Joyce Dorsh, Virginia (and spouse Victor) Geeseman, Esther (and spouse Dean) Shoue, Dale (and spouse Patricia) Naragon and Kenneth Naragon. 
He was preceded by his parents and a stepson, Kerry Schannep.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at North Manchester First Brethren Church, 407 N. Sycamore St., with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
Family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the church.
