A car hit a utility pole and knocked down some telephone lines early this morning after being hit by another vehicle that fled the scene. Alysha Whisman, 18, CR 50W, Claypool, was driving southbound on Fisher Avenue when a car turning north out of the Warsaw Community High School pulled in front of her, clipped her and sent her in the pole, according to Warsaw Police Department Capt. Kip?Shuter. Whisman was transported to a hospital with minor injuries to her face. The accident caused traffic to be temporarily backed up. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to $25,000.
