ELKHART – Senior quarterback Tyler Smith regained his early-season form, carrying the ball 18 times for 214 yards and three touchdowns for Wawasee in its 38-14 win at Elkhart Memorial in Northern Lakes Conference football Friday night. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Warriors.
Noah Wadkins also had a big night for the Warriors, gaining 121 yards in his 18 carries with a pair of touchdowns.
Wawasee scored five touchdowns in the first two quarters before the Crimson Chargers got on the board.
The Warriors (4-4, 2-4 NLC) close out the regular season at home against Goshen Friday.

ROCHESTER – Kane Gable scored four touchdowns to lead Manchester to its first win of the season, 42-27 over winless Rochester in Three Rivers Conference football Friday night.
The Squires (1-7, 1-5 TRC) play at Wabash (4-4, 2-4 TRC) in the TRC playoff in a battle of fourth-place teams.
PAT Difference In Triton’s Triple OT Loss To Knox
BOURBON – Playing its longest game in nine seasons, Triton missed an extra point in the third overtime, and visiting Knox made its kick to take a thrilling 34-33 win in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play Friday.
It was the first overtime game for the Trojans since a 13-7 win over Caston on Aug. 17, 2007.
Sophomore quarterback James “Bo” Snyder completed 15 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns, including TDs in the second and third overtimes. Senior Zac Pitney caught seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.
The Trojans held a 21-7 lead after three quarters before the visitors came back to tie the game in the fourth period. Neither team scored in the first overtime, and both teams missed point-after-touchdown opportunities in the second extra period.
The Trojans (0-8, 0-7 HNAC) travel to Francesville to take on West Central, who beat Frontier 38-24 for its first win of the season, on Friday.
