NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING
THE PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN
WARSAW COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION EMPLOYING
DAVID HOFFERT AS SUPERINTENDENT
    On October 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Warsaw Educational Service Center located at 1 Administration Drive, Warsaw, Indiana, the Board of School Trustees will meet to discuss and hear from the public objections to and support for the proposed contract amendment, which will be effective from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2021.

2016-17 school year
Annual Base Salary
    (remains the same as under current contract)     $156,100
Annual 403(b) Plan Contribution    $4,683
Annual Teacher Retirement Fund Contribution    $4,683
Annual Group Health Insurance Premium Contribution*     $5,353
Annual Group Dental Insurance Premium Contribution*    $1,339
Annual Long Term Disability Premium Contribution (estimate)*    $100
Annual Term Life Premium Contribution (estimate)*
($140,000 Death Benefit)      $200
Annual Club Membership/Dues     $0
Annual Automobile Allowance     $0
Annual Technology Allowance     $884
Total of Proposed Contract Details For 2016    $173,342
    * Indicates that Warsaw Community Schools' contribution may be adjusted if the insurance carrier increases the premiums for same level of coverage.
    Agreement Length:  The superintendent's contract is for a term of five years. The proposed contract can be canceled by the Board of School Trustees for the reasons set out in Indiana statute.
    The superintendent and Warsaw Community Schools can, by  mutual  agreement,  cancel  the proposed contract at any time.
    Annual Review and Adjustment: The Board of School Trustees is contractually obligated to annually evaluate the superintendent's job performance. If certain pre-established  bench marks are met by the superintendent as part of the annual evaluation,  the superintendent  is entitled to receive performance based increases to his base salary equal to the same percentage awarded teachers as agreed upon in this current  collective bargaining agreement  with the local teachers association. If the superintendent remains employed as the superintendent  for more than 5 years after the effective date of this contract, he shall receive a single longevity  incentive payment of $5,000.
    Vacation Days:  The superintendent receives 20 vacation days of which he may carry over five unused days to the following year, but may not possess more than 25 days.
    Additional Benefits:   The superintendent  receives  additional, non-duplicative benefits that are made available to Warsaw Community Schools certified teachers pursuant to the current collective bargaining agreement.
