HARTFORD CITY – Carsyn Howard and Elizabeth Anguilm had two goals each in Manchester’s 7-0 girls soccer win over fellow Three Rivers Conference member Maconaquah in the 1A Blackford Sectional Tuesday.
Brooklyn Howard, Bailey Mooney, and Bailey Sewell each scored a goal for the Lady Squires. The Manchester defenders allowed just four shots on goal to the Lady Braves.
Manchester (11-4-1) will take on TRC member North Miami in Thursday’s second semifinal. The Lady Squires handed the Lady Warriors their only loss this season, 2-1 in Denver on Aug. 30. Kickoff is scheduled for about 7 p.m., following Eastbrook vs. Oak Hill in the first semifinal.

Lady Squire VB Downs Winamac In 4 Sets
NORTH MANCHESTER – Sophomore Emma West had 26 digs, an ace and a kill, and Cierra Carter had nine kills and 19 digs in Manchester’s 25-16, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19 win over visiting Winamac in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday.
The Lady Squire junior varsity won 25-17, 25-13 over the Lady Warriors.
Manchester will travel to Fort Wayne to take on Blackhawk Thursday.

Triton Takes Down Caston
BOURBON – Quinn Downing had 10 digs and four aces, and Nicole Sechrist had 19 kills in Triton’s 25-17, 22-25, 25-11, 25-14 victory over visiting Caston in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference volleyball match in the Trojan Trench Tuesday.
Hannah Wanemacher had 34 assists and three blocks for the Lady Trojans. Courtney Jennings had seven kills, Tyana Spencer had 10 digs, Charlotte Morris had two blocks and Emma Ross had a pair of aces in the win.
Triton’s junior varsity earned a 25-18, 25-9 win over the Lady Comets.
The Lady Trojans will host South Central in a non-conference match Thursday.
Lady Cougars Fall In 3 Sets
WINONA LAKE – Heather Plastow had 14 digs, an assist and a kill, and Cami Dahms had four kills, four digs and four assists in Lakeland Christian’s 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 loss to the visiting Goshen Blue Blazers Tuesday.
Sydney Hobbs had seven assists, three digs, three kills, a block and an ace in the match. Baylee Wiley had four aces, four digs and a pair of kills, and Jessica Slone had three kills, two digs and two blocks.
The Lady Cougar junior varsity fell 25-7, 25-22 to the Blue Blazers.
Lakeland Christian will host the Southside Michiana Crusaders on Oct. 11.

Wawasee VB Swept
SYRACUSE – Visiting West Noble earned a 25-9, 25-17, 25-15 sweep over Wawasee in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Wawasee will take on Northern Lakes Conference foe NorthWood in Nappanee at 7 p.m. Thursday.
