Julie A. Munson, 65, Warsaw, passed away at 1:07 p.m.  Sept. 30, 2016, in her residence.
On Dec. 18, 1950, she was born to Ben and Lois McDaniel Detterman in Warsaw.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she graduated from Warsaw High School in 1969 and attended Ball State University.
She served as a dispatcher for the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department from 1991 until her retirement in 2008. She was a former owner of Warsaw and Bodkin Abstract Companies in Warsaw.
She was the past governor of the Indiana Land Title Association and served on the board of directors for Big Brother & Big Sisters of Kosciusko County. In 1989 she was named to Who’s Who of American Women and was a member of NENA. She had also served as an EMT for Multi-Township EMS.
She is survived by her cousins: Jeanne Schutz, Jon (and spouse Jan) Shutz, Elaine (and spouse Don) Spitler and Libbie Tom, all of Warsaw, and Bill (and spouse Barbara) McDaniel, Texas; along with her best friend, Rita (and spouse Larry); and her beloved pet, Max; as well as many close friends.
She was preceded by her parents, Ben and Lois; her sister, Sylvia Detterman; and her brother, Ben Dettermen.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
