She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Rochester, to Jesse H. and Lulu Ione Borden Romig. On Aug. 5, 1950, in Warsaw, she married Richard “Dick” R. Goshert; they were married 58 years until his passing Jan. 30, 2009.
She was a Warsaw High School graduate.
She previously worked at Woodies Supermarket, was an assistant manager of the first Dollar General Store in Warsaw and worked for REAL Services, serving meals at Retired Tigers.
She loved to read suspense and mystery novels and enjoyed watching “Murder She Wrote.”?She liked people and enjoyed time spent eating out with her family and friends. A selfless person, she volunteered for Mobile Meals, KCH and Back to the Days of Kosciusko. She was a member of DAR and several home economic clubs. She attended Harrison Center Church and had been a member of Pleasant View Church.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (spouse Sue) and Tim (spouse Shelly) Goshert, both of Warsaw; five grandchildren: Sarah, Jennifer, Adam, Andrew (spouse Joni) and Aric (spouse Brenna) Goshert, all of Warsaw; three great-grandchildren: Braden, Beau and Evan Goshert, all at home; and a brother, Jack Romig, Warsaw. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hillery, and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Friends may join family for graveside services and committal at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View Cemetery, 2782 W. 200N, Warsaw.
