We Care Warsaw Today Includes Service Fair, Dinner

We Care Warsaw is planned today from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
This annual complimentary service fair, where community organizations band together to meet the needs of those in need, will be held in the Gordon Recreation Center at Grace College, next to the Winona Lake Fire Station.
The event is hosted by Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
The event begins at 2 p.m. with service tables open and numerous door prizes announced.
A complimentary hot full-course dinner will be served with four different seating times at 3, 3:45, 4:30 and 5:15 p.m.
Menu includes roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, apple and pumpkin pie, coffee, milk and water.
Services available for those in need include haircuts, manicures, makeovers, hairbraiding, family pictures, flu shots, various health screenings and more.
There will be Christmas cookie decorating and inflatable games for kids and each family will receive a bag of groceries.
Throughout the event, there will be drawings for gift cards for gas, groceries and other items from Walmart and other retail stores.
Grand door prize drawings of several $75 and $100 gift cards will be held from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
A Christmas Gift Store also will be on site. Parents may purchase discounted toys, educational childrens materials, gloves, hats and scarves for their children. Free Christmas gift wrapping will be provided.
Community groups taking part in this year’s event are Beaman Home, Brightpoint/Fort Wayne, Combined Community Services, Early Childhood Alliance/Fort Wayne, Gateway (adult high school equivalency), Goodwill Career Center, Grace College, Habitat For Humanity, Headstart, Heartline, Healthy Families, Kosciusko Cares, Lutheran Services, Northern Indiana Hispanic Health Coalition/Elkhart, United Way 211/Fort Wayne, Walgreens, Work One, World Compassion Network, Women-Infant-Children and more.
At last year’s event, more than 900 meals were served.
