Triton JV GBB Game Cancelled
BOURBON – Due to several injuries, the Triton girls basketball junior varsity game against Plymouth on Friday had been cancelled. The varsity game will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Trojan Trench.

GBB Game Moved To Historic Gym
The Warsaw-Wawasee girls varsity basketball game scheduled for Dec. 17 at Warsaw has been moved to the “Hickory Gym” in Knightstown where the movie Hoosiers was filmed. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. and is varsity only. The junior varsity game set for Dec. 17 has been moved to 6:15 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Tiger Den.

Tigers To Host Intrasquad Scrimmage
The 2016-17 Warsaw boys basketball team will make its debut  at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Tiger Den with an intrasquad session open to the public. Tiger fans are encouraged to come out to see the Warsaw freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams in action. Admission is free.
There will be an opportunity to purchase tickets to the City Securities Hall of Fame Classic on Dec. 30 in New Castle where the Tigers will meet defending state champion New Albany. The New Albany squad features Romeo Langford, one of the nation's top recruits in the 2018 class.
Tiger Spirit items will also be on sale Saturday, including game-worn Tiger Basketball attire.

Valley HOF Classic Tickets On Sale
AKRON – Advance tickets for Tippecanoe Valley’s girls basketball appearance in the City Securities Hall Of Fame Classic in New Castle Dec. 29 are available in the Valley athletic office.
All-tournament tickets are $10 each, and the first 250 fans to buy at ticket at the school receive a free T-shirt. Tickets at the door will be $20 each.
The fourth-ranked (3A) Lady Vikings will play North Harrison, currently ranked No. 2 in Class 3A, about 12:30 p.m., following the No. 8 (4A) Greenfield-Central vs. No. 7 (4A) Plainfield game at 11 a.m. The consolation game tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the championship game.
People interested in advertising in support of the Lady Vikings in the tournament should contact the athletic office at 574-598-2126 for pricing information.

December Race Scheduled
The seventh annual “Run for the Heart” 5k run/walk and one-mile Santa Chase will be Dec. 3 at Sacred Heart School/Parish, Warsaw. The Santa Chase starts at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K at 9:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the race, in memory of Monsignor James J Wolf, will go to the tuition assistance fund at the school.
Registration can be completed online at runsignup.com or download a registration form from the Sacred Heart website at sacredheart-warsaw.org. Walk-up registration will be from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. on race day.

Valley Season Tickets On Sale
AKRON – Season tickets for Tippecanoe Valley boys and girls basketball are now available, either by mail, in person at the athletic office or at the first home game.
The cost for either team is $35 for adults and $25 for students. Individual game tickets are $5 each at the door.
Tickets can be ordered by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with payment and contact information to Tippecanoe Valley Athletics, 8345 Ind. 19, Akron, 46910. Fans with questions can contact the athletic department at 574-598-2126.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
