Aly Reiff Hits School-Record 7 Threes In Whitko Rout

SOUTH WHITLEY –  Whitko senior and Xavier signee Aly Reiff set a school record with seven made three-point shots, finishing with 27 points in the top-ranked (2A) Lady Wildcats’ 83-23 rout of Peru in the Three Rivers Conference girls basketball opener for both teams.
Senior guard Brianna Cumberland added 22 points, passing both Karissa Olinske and Rachel (Brown) Desenberg to move into second all-time on the Whitko career scoring list. Senior wing Hanna Yohe also scored in double-figures with 10 points. eight different players scored for Whitko in the game.
The Lady Wildcats (5-0) are back in action Friday, visiting Huntington North for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference game.

LOGANSPORT – Fourth-ranked (3A) Tippecanoe Valley got off to a fast start, and sat its starters for the fourth quarter in a 94-29 win over Logansport in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday.
Eleven different Lady Vikings scored, led by Anne Secrest’s 20. Addy Miller and Emily Peterson hit four three-point shots each in scoring 18 and 16 points, respectively. Meredith Brouyette hit five three-pointers on her way to 17 points.
Asia O’Conner led the Lady vikings with nine rebounds.
Next up for Valley (3-0) is a  7:30 Friday night matchup at 3-0 Warsaw.

Wawasee Rolls To First Win
LAGRANGE – Senior Hannah Haines hit a pair of three-pointers on her way to a game-high 11 points, leading Wawasee to its first win of the season, 59-16 at Lakeland in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.
Wawasee held the Lady Lakers without a field goal in the first half, taking a 28-1 lead in to halftime.
Senior Aubrey Schmeltz scored 10 points for the Lady Warriors, and Kayla White hit a pair of threes for six points. Hannah-Marie Lamle, Aubrey Kuhn and Sara Pritchard also scored six points each. Ten Wawasee players scored at least two points in the game.
In the junior varsity game, Morgan Adkins, Sara Pritchard and Shelby Bolt scored eight points each in Wawasee’s 39-24 win.
Wawasee (1-3) plays at Prairie Heights Saturday night.

BUNKER HILL – Cierra Carter had 12 points, and Bailey Sewell added 11 in Manchester’s 64-16 rout at Maconaquah in Three Rivers conference girls basketball Tuesday.
“We had 11 girls score tonight and were very aggressive from the beginning of the game,”?Lady Squire head coach Jacob Everett said. “I was very pleased with our energy level and the entire team played well tonight.”
In the junior varsity game, Manchester beat Maconaquah 30-17.
