Lady Wildcats Have 3 In Double Figures In 59-55 Win

COLUMBIA CITY – Senior Aly Reiff had 16 points, Brianna Cumberland scored 13 points and Hanna Yohe scored 12 in Whitko’s 59-55 road win over Columbia City Friday night.
Whitko expanded a two-point lead after the first quarter to a 48-35 advantage after the third period. The Lady Eagles outscored the Lady Wildcats 20-11 over the final eight minutes of the game.
The Lady Wildcats (3-0) host Churubusco (1-0) at 7:30 p.m. today.

SOUTH BEND – Brady Gross and Melissa Goss had eight points each, and Jess Slone added seven points in Lakeland Christian Academy’s 31-20 girls basketball win over host South Bend Career Academy Friday night.
Slone and Gross just missed a double-doubles, having pulled down 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.
The Lady Cougars improved to 2-0 on the season, and are right back in action tonight in Denver against North Miami (1-0), with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
