‘Thank You Jesus’ Signs Available
NORTH MANCHESTER — The sale of plastic “Thank You Jesus” yard signs is benefiting REACH, a local agency of the Fellowship of Churches that provides financial assistance to those in need.
The signs are being sold by North Manchester Congregational Christian Church for $12. The $4 profit  from each sale will go to REACH.
Nearly 100 signs have been sold.
According to the website “thankyoujesussigns.com,” the Thank You Jesus yard sign movement was originated by Lucas Hunt, a teenager active at Hopewell Friends Church in North Carolina. Hunt had a heart for putting up yard signs in his neighborhood during Christmas, reminding people that “Jesus is the reason for the season.” His plan was to put out signs again at Easter.  Around the same time another member of Hopewell got the idea to do an Easter yard sign that said “Thank You Jesus.” To date, approximately 11,000 signs have been placed.
To purchase a sign, stop by the church at 310 N. Walnut St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Arrangements for pickup can be made by calling the church at 260-982-2882.
