Lyle and Shirley Williams celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2.
Lyle Williams and the former Shirley Bosell were married Sept. 2, 1951, in the First Baptist Church in Salem, Ore., by the Rev. Lloyd Anderson.
In 1960 they moved to Winona Lake, where Lyle became editor of Sunday school curriculum for adults for the Free Methodist Publishing House, which later moved to Indianapolis. He worked there 31 years.
Lyle is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Harwood.
Shirley worked as a secretary/administrative assistant at the Free Methodist Publishing House and Othy Inc., now Symmetry ?Medical Inc.  
The Williamses have three children: Dale, Punta Gorda, Fla.; Karen (and spouse David) Overmyer, Warsaw; and Diane (and spouse Rick) Dobbins, Santa Clara, Calif.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The couple reside at Peabody Retirement Com-munity, North Manchester. Cards may be sent to 12 Laurel Drive, North Manchester, IN 46962.

The Benefits Of A Data Center In Agriculture And Economic Growth
Editor, Times-Union: I’ve heard folks say I have prime farmland. What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
