He is a retired construction engineer, and she is a retired registered nurse who worked for Warsaw Community School Corp.
The couple have three children, Mrs. Eric (Rebecca Zellner) Eikhoff, Goshen; Brian (and wife Brenda) Zellner, Lawrenceville, N.J.; and Esther Zellner, Fort Wayne. They also have three grandchildren.
The couple celebrated their golden anniversary with a family dinner at Cerulean May 12.
