YMCA Youth Soccer Registration

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

By Staff Report-

Registration for youth outdoor soccer runs until Aug. 18 for ages 3 to third grade at the Kosciusko Community YMCA, and membership to the YMCA is not required.
The soccer program is a safe environment for children to learn practical and social skills and develop positive values. Modified rules and equipment will be used to ensure the greatest opportunity for your child to succeed.
The league offers three divisions, Division I for ages 3 to 4, Division II for those age 5 to 1st grade and Division III for those in 2nd and 3rd grade.
Division III will have a 45-minute practices on Monday or Tuesday, Division I and II will practice before their game, which are played on Saturdays.
Practices and games will be held at Lincoln Elementary School.
In addition to being a good opportunity for kids, soccer will also give parents the opportunity to take an active role as a volunteer coach.
Register at either of the YMCA branches or online at www.kcymca.org
Registration will be open until Aug. 18, with a late registration, including a late fee until Aug. 25.
The first game will be Sept. 6 and the last Oct. 11.
Contact Steven Kuhn with any questions at 574-269-9622.
The YMCA provides financial assistance for those who qualify.  Please apply 3 weeks in advance.  We want to make sure that your children can be involved in a program that will give them the opportunity for teamwork, activity and character development.[[In-content Ad]]
