YMCA To Hold 'Give-A-Thon' To Raise Money

Kosciusko Community YMCA will hold a Give-A-Thon event Oct. 18 to raise funds for a new YMCA.
The event is from noon to 9 p.m. at the current YMCA, 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw. The community is encouraged to try several hours and types of exercise.
Members and nonmembers are welcome. Child care will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. Family friendly classes will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Each hour there will be an option in group exercise, cycling and aquatics or participants can sign up to walk or run on the track. Group exercise classes will be held in the gym and cycling classes will be outside on the sidewalk, weather permitting. There will be door prizes every hour and if 100 people sign up, everyone will be entered to win a free six-month membership.
Anyone who completes one hour in each event- group exercise, cycling, aquatics and walking will be invited to hard hat tours and VIP sneak peaks of the new YMCA as it’s being built. The person who completes the most hours of exercise, with the most variety, will get a free month of membership.
Possible classes/events include: Silver Sneakers, Warm Water Water Aerobics, Cycling, Body Sculpt, Lap Pool Water Aerobics, Water Walking, Yoga, Boot Camp, Family Fun, Family Zumba, Deep Water Aerobics, Hydro Extreme, Lap Swim, walking or running on the track and Step Aerobics, all with a variety of instructors.
