Kosciusko Community YMCA will be hosting a Spooktacular 5k on Oct. 29.
This year the Spooktacular 5k is a fundraiser for The Kosciusko Community YMCA's Annual Support Campaign, which provides funds for the YMCA’s Financial Assistance program.
This is the third year for the Spooktacular.
Runners are encouraged to dress up for Halloween, and a prize will be awarded for the best costume.
Pre-registration before Oct. 10 will include a t-shirt. Race day registration will be inside the YMCA from 7:30-8:45 a.m. on Oct. 29 and may include a t-shirt.
People can pre-register online at www.kcymca.org or at the YMCA, 1401 E. Main St.
The race starts and finishes across the street from the YMCA and goes through Winona Lake.
Age group awards will be given at an awards ceremony following the race.
“Everyday, the Y works to address the most pressing needs in our community by making sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive,” said Chad Zaucha, Kosciusko Community YMCA CEO.
“The Y’s Annual Campaign helps individuals and families in need participate in Y programs, such as after-school care, youth sports, health and wellness, swim lessons, summer camp, gymnastics and more.”
