'Y' Celebrates Dekko Grant

Kosciusko Community YMCA held an appreciation luncheon for the Dekko Foundation at Stonehenge Golf Club to celebrate reaching a goal.
One year ago when the YMCA began campaigning to raise funds for a warm water training pool, a new fitness center and a new youth gymnasium, the Dekko Foundation gave valuable counsel to the campaign leaders about fund raising. Dekko also backed the YMCA by giving $75,000 for the expansion project with a promise of another $75,000 once the YMCA campaign raised at least $1.35 million. This milestone was achieved last week.
The Dekko Foundation is committed to supporting communities through schools, libraries and social service programs that strive to educate.
The Kosciusko Community YMCA serves more than 4,800 members, providing health, fitness, recreation and other family-centered services to the residents of Kosciusko County.
The youth gymnasium and fitness center are expected to be completed early next year, while the warm water training pool will follow in the spring. [[In-content Ad]]
