NORTH WEBSTER – Worth “Junior” Packer Jr., 76, of North Webster, died at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 16, 2012, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born June 11, 1936, in Bladen County, N.C., to Worth and Delia Edwards Packer Sr. On Sept. 2, 1956, in Dillon, S.C., he married Tibie J. Anderson, who survives.
He attended Bladenboro (N.C.) High School. He moved to the North Webster area in 1968 from North Carolina but still wintered there.
He retired in 2003 from Jomac Industries in Warsaw as a maintenance man after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Syracuse Baptist Church and formerly attended the Bible Christian Church in North Webster.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary (and spouse Mark) Kiser, North Webster, and Maude (and spouse John) McCormick, Milan, Ill.; two sons, Worth (and spouse Patty) Packer and Charles (and spouse Ginger) Packer, all of North Webster; two sisters, Marilyn Wesseling, North Webster, and Eunice Martin, Kalamazoo, Mich.; two half sisters, Pat (and spouse Warren) Napowasa, Cary, N.C., and Janice Pait, Florida; two brothers, George T. (and spouse Francis) Packer, Morganton, N.C., and Jerry W. (and spouse Donna) Packer, Whitakers, N.C.; a half brother, Edward (and spouse Jodie) Pait, Raleigh, N.C.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded by a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, with Pastor Merv Swartzentruber officiating. Burial will be in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
