Work Continues On Family Video Store In Warsaw

Work began the first week of October for the Family Video store in Warsaw.

Plans are for the store to open in mid-December at 109 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw.

Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals approved a setback variance for the video store in Warsaw at its June 23 meeting.[[In-content Ad]]Dave Buschke, Rockford Construction Co. superintendent, said during an interview Thursday afternoon, the company began site work preparation by pouring building footings Oct. 5.

The store's walls have been put up, and plans are to lay a new asphalt parking lot next week. The building will be roofed the following week.

The construction company is from Grand Rapids, Mich. Houghton Masonry, Blue Grass, Iowa, is the subcontractor for the project.

"Pending weather, we are on schedule with plans to open the store before Christmas," Buschke said.

Stores also are in Columbia City, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Kendallville and Wabash.

Children's movies always rent for free, as well as health and fitness videos, at Family Video. The video store also provides a full-line video rental service, Blu-Ray and game system rentals.
