Warsaw Wesleyan Church presents Unmasked, Unafraid Women’s Conference, set Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is open to women in Warsaw and the surrounding areas. It attracts more than 100 women each year from surrounding churches and denominations.
“This is our third year hosting this community-wide women’s conference. We welcome women of our community as they seek to connect with other women in our community and to deepen their faith. We are excited about this year’s theme and featured speakers.” said Kathy Sand, director of Designed by God Outreach Ministry, Warsaw Wesleyan Church.
The theme of this year’s conference, Unmasked, Unafraid, supports the concept of embracing our authentic selves to live more abundantly. The annual conference features a regional keynote speaker, as well as local professional women sharing their expertise. Darla France, this year’s event keynote speaker, is an established speaker with more than 20 years experience speaking at schools, business groups and churches. She is also the executive director of LifeTouch Ministries Inc.
Breakout sessions encourage women, Unmasked, Unafraid, and include local professionals sharing their expertise with attendees, including the following sessions.
• Wanda Cullison, RD, CD, to present Vitamins & Minerals: Cutting Through the Hype
• Shelly Heckert, a.k.a. Mother Earth to local residents, and educator, KC Recycling Depot, Warsaw, presents Clean it Green, The Natural Alternative.
• Karen Long, Mary Kay Consultant/Sales Director, presents Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, You Can’t See it All
• Dana McAfee, local high school educator and drama director, presents The Actor in All of Us, an original drama presentation
