We Inspire Support Empower (WISE) Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and support of the professional career interests of women, hosted a Wine & Canvas event Oct. 29 at the Tourmaline. A group of members and non-members participated in an evening of painting, desserts and wine. Artist and WISE member Carla Sumney led a group of 13 women and one man through a step-by-step painting. WISE member Angela Armstrong thought that “the event was a great example of WISE’s dedication to personal growth, as well as, professional development. There was a lot of laughter, learning and engaging conversation.” For more information about the organization, including membership and event information, visit its website at www.wiseincorporated.org.
