Winona Lake Medicare Beneficiaries Invited to 'Educational Moments' Event

This event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Hub (back parking lot of Grace Brethren Church), 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, by Bob Hartwiger, CEO of Home Helpers and Lauren Montrastelle, community relations manager of Care Improvement Plus
At the event, attendees will hear expert tips and advice that can help improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis. “Educational Moments” will be hosted by Care Improvement Plus, Indiana’s largest health plan solution for Medicare beneficiaries with chronic illnesses, in partnership with Home Helpers.
More than 1.3 million people in Indiana are living with arthritis, including 461,000 Medicare beneficiaries 65 and older. One) Arthritis can cause pain, fatigue and stiffness as well as pain and swelling of the joints, making everyday activities such as cooking and cleaning feel nearly impossible. While there is no cure for arthritis, treatment with medications, alternative therapies and surgery as well as and lifestyle changes such as exercise and diet can help relieve the symptoms.
