Winona Lake July 4 Events Listed

WINONA LAKE – Several events have been planned for the July 4 weekend in Winona Lake.
On July 3 at the Winona Lake Senior Center, there will be the Prince and Princess Winona competition for 3- and 4-year-olds. Registration is at 5 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. start time.
The King and Queen Winona competition for 5- to 6-year-olds also is that day with registration at 6:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. start time.
The annual parade is July 5 with parade registration and lineup at 5:15 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m.
The parade theme is Winona Lake Centennial. Parade awards will be given at 6:45 p.m. at center stage.
There will be free blow-up activities and a car show with registration from 5 to 8 p.m. and door prizes with awards at 8:15 p.m.
A live disc jockey will play a variety of music from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Warsaw-Winona Lake fireworks over Winona Lake are at dusk July 5.
Preceding the fireworks at 8:30 p.m. will be the MasterWorks Pops Concert at the Hillside Amphitheatre.
Music will include John Philip Sousa marches, Handel's Royal Fireworks Music, Copeland's “Billy the Kid,” John Williams' “Indiana Jones,” Broadway songs and a medley of Armed Forces music.
On July 6, there will be a Firecracker 5K with registration at Winona Lake Park at 7 a.m. and the race beginning at 8 a.m.
A flotilla parade will be on the Winona Lake shoreline at 9:30 p.m. There will be food vendors, craft kits and games.
