Winifred M. Wynne Hunter, 85, of Winona Lake, died at 10:45 a.m. April 5, 2009, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was born Dec. 21, 1923, in South Bend, to Ignace and Anna Nowak Fiwek. On July 28, 1943, in South Bend, she married Byron G. Hunter, who survives.

She was the cafeteria manager at Northrop High School and Shawnee Middle School, Fort Wayne, for 12 years, retiring in 1983.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy Hunter, Warsaw, and Rodney (and spouse Leslie) Hunter, Newburgh; three daughters: Janine Hunter, Winona Lake; Joyce Burnett, Gas City; and Pamela (and spouse Jerry) Koehlinger, Warsaw; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny, Irvin and Ted Fiwek, and three sisters, Goldie Holke, Alice DeVliger and Henrietta Szabo.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Glenn Byers, Grace Village Chaplain. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
