Wilmer H. Brubaker, 86, of 2207 Hendricks St., Warsaw, died at 7 p.m. May 10, 2007, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born March 18, 1921, in Monroe Township, Kosciusko County, to Ira "Lee" and Bertha Hazel Hossler Brubaker. On Aug. 27, 1977, he married Lauree Foreman Burgess, who survives.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a self-employed farmer and 30-year employee of Endicott Church Furniture, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Warsaw; the KCH Senior Club and Hoosier Country Club Travel Club. He was a Mobile Meals volunteer for 8 years, and he was 10-gallon blood donor for the American Red Cross. He graduated from Pierceton High School in 1938.
Also surviving are a daughter, Elaine Hively, Warsaw; two sisters, Marilyn Culbertson, Carrollton, Texas, and Bonita E. Collier, Pierceton; three grandsons; three granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a great-grandson and a brother.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at McHaton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
