Wilma Draper, 99, Warsaw, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 22, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born June 9, 1915, in Rochester, to Ora and Fairy Woods Pike. On Dec. 25, 1938, in Rochester, she married Paul Draper, who preceded her in death Sept. 27, 2005. She moved to Kosciusko County in 1941. She worked as a bookkeeper for Rice Ford, Warsaw, where she retired. She was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw, where she was very active in all church functions, including being a Sunday school teacher for 50 years, former choir director, organist, treasurer and a member of Dorcas Ladies Circle. Surviving are a son, Howard “Butch” (and spouse Angie) Draper, Montgomery, Ill.; a daughter, Cindy Nolton, Winona Lake; three grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; three great-grandsons; six step-great- grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
