He was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Miami Co., to Omer Otis and Beatrice M. Vanphusan Coldren. On Feb. 29, 1940, he married H. Louise Priser, who died Dec. 6, 2009.
Living most of life in Warsaw, he owned Coldren Construction for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.
Surviving are two sons, Ron (and spouse Jeanne) Coldren, Winona Lake, and Roger (and spouse Judy) Coldren, North Webster; two daughters, Linda Music and Rita Soberg (and Mike Phebus), all of Warsaw; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and six sisters: Edna Tracy and Barb (and spouse Jim) Stewart, all of North Manchester; Beverly Joan Coldren, Mentone; Betty (and spouse Rex) Smith, Warsaw; Brenda (and spouse Larry) Landis, Wabash; and Becky Burton, Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a daughter, infant Gwendolyn L. Coldren, who died in 1941; a brother, Keith Coldren; a sister, Carol Paul; and an infant sibling.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Bill Garner officiating. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
