He was born July 22, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Henry and Ivadale Payne Junk. On Nov. 27, 1985, in Warsaw, he married Marcia Anderson, who survives in Mentone.
He served with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged Oct. 11, 1960. He lived most of life in Kosciusko County. He worked at Zimmer for 18 years before retiring in 1998 as a molder. He enjoyed bowling and gardening. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two daughters, Marissa (and spouse Adam) Custer, Warsaw, and Annie Layne, Middlesboro, Ky.; two sons, James Griggs, Mentone, and Billy (and companion Charlene) Griggs, Glasgow, Ky.; a son-in-law, Tim Stouder, Paducah, Ky.; a stepson, Eddie Mullins, Neon, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Donna (and companion Charles) Miller, Glasgow, Ky.; a brother, Ben (and spouse Pat) Junk, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Naomi (and spouse Ray) Lorenz, Danville, Calif., and Beth (and spouse Clay) Kemmer, Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ivadale Junk, and a daughter, Tina Faye Stouder.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Denny Wilson, Warsaw Community Church, officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126, both of Warsaw.
