He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Albion, to Cary A. and Ann Mazure Davis. On May 24, 1952, in GreenHill, he married Patricia Buck, who survives.
Living in Warsaw from 1959-69, he was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. He was a teacher and coach in Albion; principal for Montpelier Schools; worked for Warsaw Schools; and retired from Fort Wayne Wayne High School in 1985. He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and was a 1950 Purdue University graduate.
Also surviving are three sons, Mark (and spouse Linda) Davis and Scott (and spouse Amy) Davis, all of Fort Wayne, and Jonathan Davis, New Albany; a brother, Roy (and spouse Maxine) Davis, St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Wilma Glendening, Naples, Fla.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, with Pastor David Heim officiating. A committal service will be at 2 p.m, Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
