William 'Bud' Alexander Anthony

EAST MOLINE, Ill. – William “Bud”  Alexander Anthony, 84, Rock Island, Ill., and formerly of Moline, Ill., died Nov. 26, 2013, at the Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center.  
He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Aubrey and Lavon Sharp Anthony.
He was a supervisor at the Franks Foundry and at several others in the Quad Cities, retiring in 1991. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the military police in Okinawa, Japan. He belonged to the American Legion Post 0150, Muldrow, Okla. He enjoyed auctions, and in his younger years he liked to go hunting.
 Surviving are his daughter, Judy (and spouse Dennis) Johannson, New Windsor, Ill.; two sons, Jon (and spouse Janet) Anthony, North Webster, and Terry (and spouse Nancy) Vincent, Moline; two sisters, Bev Dennison, Rock Island, and Freda (and spouse Dick) Carlile, Milan, Ill.; brother, George (and spouse Sharon) Anthony, Millersburg, Iowa; four grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, five brothers, a daughter, Bonnie Chaney, and one stepdaughter, June Vincent.
Cremation rites will take place.
