William “Bill” Richardson, 83, of 920 Shady Lane, Warsaw, passed away at 2:10 p.m. June 10, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

He was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Floyd County, Ky., to John and Ellen Shepherd Richardson. On Oct. 21, 1950, he married Mary Ann Haywood, who died Jan. 21, 2008.

A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 73 years, he was a 1947 graduate of Claypool High School and a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Warsaw. He had worked at Dalton Foundry, Warsaw; Tyler Machinery; and Hand Industries, retiring in 1995. He was a wonderful family man – nursing his wife in the later part of her life. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He will be lovingly remembered by two sons, Jerry L. (and spouse Paula) Richardson, Leesburg, and Larry D. (and spouse JoAnn) Richardson, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Jerry W. (and spouse Sarah) Richardson,  Warsaw, and Jonathan (and spouse Nora) Richardson,  Chicago, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Will and Maddie Richardson, Warsaw, and Emmett Richardson,  Chicago; and a brother, Curtis (and spouse Violet) Richardson, Argos. He also was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Cripe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
