NAPPANEE – William A. Lent Sr., 72, of 705 S. Vernon St., Nappanee, died at 7:20 a.m. July 4, 2012, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born Oct. 18, 1939, in Mishawaka, to Gordon and Dorothy Stoner Lent. On June 13, 1970, in St. Charles, Mo., he married Gloria J. Sida, who survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He retired from Monaco Coach and was a member of Nappanee American Legion and the Brothers of the Third Wheel.

Also surviving are three sons, Jerry and Andy, both of Nappanee, and William Lent Jr., San Diego, Calif.; a  daughter, Lisa Lent, Sidney; two stepsons, Joe Fullington, Nappanee, and Bill Fullington, Warsaw;   many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Armor, Plymouth, and Barbara Nemeth, Mauldin, S.C.; and a brother, Harold Lent, Sidney.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Etna Green Cemetery with military honors by member of Nappanee American Legion.

Calling will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Nappanee American Legion.
